Compatibility

Is my car compatible with Dashly?

Dashly works with cars that have built-in (wired) Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and a data USB port, generally 2016 and newer. The fastest way to check is our Compatibility page: enter your make, model, and year to find out instantly.

How do I know if my car has CarPlay or Android Auto?

Connect your phone to the car with a USB cable: if Apple CarPlay or Android Auto appears on screen, your car is compatible. Alternatively, check the display's menu or your car's manual.

Are there any incompatible cars?

Yes. Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, and NIO vehicles are not compatible. On BMW, compatibility is very limited. On some Hyundai and Kia models (2022+), wired CarPlay needs to be enabled by the dealer. Always check the Compatibility page before purchasing.

Installation and how it works

How hard is the installation?

Very simple, and no tools needed. Plug Dashly into your car's USB port, pair your phone once via Bluetooth, and you're done. The whole setup takes less than 60 seconds.

Do I need to connect it every time I get in the car?

No. After the first setup, Dashly connects automatically every time you start the car. Just get in and go.

Is there a subscription or monthly fee?

No. No subscription, no monthly fee, and no hidden costs. You pay once for the device.

Do I need a data connection?

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto use your phone's connection. With Dashly Pro, you can use Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot for streaming apps.

What's the difference between Dashly Lite and Dashly Pro?

Dashly Lite™ turns your wired Apple CarPlay wireless (wireless CarPlay and Android Auto). Dashly Pro™ adds Netflix, YouTube, and streaming, the Google Play Store, more RAM and storage, and a MicroSD slot. You can compare them on the homepage or on each product's page.

Can I watch Netflix and YouTube on my car's screen?

Yes, but only with Dashly Pro™. For your safety, video playback is intended for use while the vehicle is parked.

Can I download other apps?

With Dashly Pro™ you get access to the Google Play Store and can install whichever apps you like directly on your car's screen.

Does it work with iPhone and Android?

Dashly Lite offers wireless Apple CarPlay (and wireless Android Auto where supported). Dashly Pro supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto as well as Android apps.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on all orders.

How can I track my order?

Use our Track your order page and enter the tracking code from your shipping confirmation email.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Payments are always secure and protected.

Returns and warranty

Can I return the product?

Yes. We accept return requests within 30 days of delivery. You'll find all the details in our Refund policy.

I received a defective or wrong product. What do I do?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number: we'll arrange a replacement or refund, with no shipping cost to you.
